4th Annual Cushaw Squash Festival

The white cushaw squash was a common vegetable that Thomas Lincoln grew. He likely grew the squash at his farm in Hodgenville, Kentucky. Seeds from the squash moved to Indiana with the Lincoln’s in 1816, and then on to Illinois when the family left in 1830.

Bring your cushaw squash to the Living Historical Farm inside Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial to enter in the “Heaviest Squash” event.  Learn about saving seeds and more.
