Kissed By The Grill

Let’s be honest, very few people actually enjoy eating their vegetables. But vegetables seasoned to perfection and kissed by the grill? That’s a game changer.

These grill recipes will entice you to get your veggies in for today:

Savory S’mores

You Need:

  • Mushrooms
  • Blue cheese
  • Bacon

Directions:

  1. Stuff mushrooms with blue cheese
  2. Wrap with a strip of bacon, secured by inserting a toothpick
  3. Roast over the campfire or on the grill until the cheese is bubbly and the bacon is done
BBQ Chicken Bacon Veggie Kabobs

You Need:

  • 1 lb chicken, cut into bit size pieces
  • ½ lb bacon strips
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Your favorite BBQ sauce

Directions:

  1. Place wooden kabob sticks in water (this prevents the sticks from burning on the grill and keeps the ingredients from sticking to them)
  2. Chop the chicken and veggies into desired bite sized pieces
  3. Heat the grill
  4. Assemble the kabobs by alternating ingredients on kabob roasting sticks
  5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper
  6. Place on the grill and brush with your favorite BBQ sauce
  7. Cook until chicken is done, at an internal temperature of 165 degrees
Grilled Sausage and Veggie Packet

You Need:

  • 1 lb smoked sausage, cut into pieces
  • 4-5 red potatoes, cut into pieces
  • 2-3 turnips
  • 1 Large onion, sliced
  • Bell Peppers—green, red, yellow—cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or do a butter-olive oil split)
  • Cajun seasoning, pepper, and salt
  • Aluminum foil

Directions:

  1. Begin making your foil packets–You can make one large foil packet and everyone can serve themselves or you can make individual packets
  2. Cut up the sausage and all the veggies
  3. Toss together with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper
  4. Seal packet closed and grill for 20-30 minutes, turning once halfway through, until veggies are fork tender
Grilled Garlic Parmesan Asparagus

You Need:

  • 1 lb of fresh asparagus
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons grate parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Garlic salt
  • Pepper
  • Aluminum foil

Directions:

  1. Prepare asparagus and the trim the bottoms
  2. Toss asparagus in the olive oil, garlic salt, and pepper
  3. Make a foil packet and place asparagus in packet in a single layer, sealing closed
  4. Grill over medium heat 5-10 minutes until tender
  5. Remove from grill and toss with parmesan cheese
  6. **You can also just lay the asparagus on the grill racks if desired
